12 ounce package wide egg noodles
8 ounces bacon (8-10 slices)

Holiday dinners. For many of us, significant time is spent planning a delectable feast for our family and friends, searching out recipes and finding just the right ingredients. Then come days of cooking, making sure everything will be perfect. Finally, THE FEAST DAY!
1 pound Italian sausage (links cut into ½ inch slices or bulk)

As crisp air starts to sneak in, the goldenrod, asters, mums, and other late summer and fall flowers start to appear. School begins and schedules get hectic. Fairly quick but hearty meals are what we need to sustain us through the busy-ness of this time of year.

Whenever I travel, I like to check out restaurants that serve local specialties and favorites. Those local dishes can cover the entire spectrum of foods, from appetizers to desserts and everything in between. Sometimes I leave underwhelmed, but often I find new favorites. I’d like to help you find a new favorite or two, also.
In any discussion of childhood days and growing up in days gone by, school memories invariably come up. Amid conversations about classes, teachers and adventures, at some point someone will say, “Remember school cafeteria food?”
